@warpathministries: “The people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.” — Matthew 4:16 (ESV) Darkness is real. Wickedness is not imaginary. Evil is not misunderstood trauma or a difference of opinion. Sin destroys. Lies enslave. Darkness devours. And Scripture doesn’t soften that reality. But it also doesn’t leave us there. Into real darkness — not sanitized darkness, not theoretical darkness — God sent a real Light. Jesus didn’t negotiate with wickedness. He exposed it. He confronted it. He overcame it. Light doesn’t coexist with darkness. It drives it out. So let this verse do two things today: 🔹 Confront wickedness If you are walking in compromise, hiding sin, flirting with darkness — the light reveals it not to shame you, but to call you out of what is killing you. 🔹 Offer hope If you are weary, broken, trapped, or living under the shadow of death — the light has already dawned. Darkness does not get the final word. Jesus does. The gospel is not “try harder.” It is “Light has come.” And where Christ reigns: Darkness retreats. Chains break. Truth stands. Hope rises. So step into the light. Leave the shadows. And don’t underestimate what God can do when His light hits a dark place.
