If you know me, you know I am a mama’s boy. My mom is my entire world. I love her more than words can express, so to write this doesn’t even feel real. My beautiful, vibrant, amazing mother, Jeralyn, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025 at 9:56pm. My family and I were with her at home until she took her last breath. My heart is broken but the thing about my mom is she was a fighter and always beat the odds, as she did with cancer. Her positive thinking and will to live shattered any life expectancy the doctors gave her. She fought for 9 years with incredible bravery, strength, joy and unconditional love. She adored her family, friends and everyone who crossed paths with her. I am honored and blessed that God chose me to be her son. She believed in me more than I believed in myself. I am an artist like her, so when I started pursuing music she would always tell me “Ryan, stop being so scared! You are talented and nobody will know that if you don’t put yourself out there!”— those words stayed with me and the second I listened to my mom and changed my mentality is when my dreams started coming true. She was my # 1 fan and went to every performance, stood front row when I was in The Rose Parade, when I sang at The Apollo, The X Factor, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and my plus one at my first movie premiere. She was always so proud of me and my sister and everything we accomplished. Not only was she an amazing mother but also wife to my dad Michael, who just celebrated 48 years together. They were one of the first biracial couples on The Newlywed Game in 1976 and their love story inspired millions around the world through their social media page @Jeri & Mike which has reached over 100 million YouTube views. I look at that number and I’m amazed at everything she achieved in her life. She was truly one of a kind. My life will never be the same but I promise with every fiber of my being that I will make her proud and continue sharing her legacy with the world. I love you mommy, forever and always. Love your son, Ryan aka “stinker butt” 🥹❤️🕊️
