My neighbor has been in an ice facility for months now. They won’t deport him to his birth country and are just holding him even though he’s not a criminal. They kidnapped him from his immigration lawyers office while doing the proper steps. His wife and children are distraught and He himself has lost over 50 pounds because they won’t feed him properly when he didn’t have 50 pounds to lose. We are all scared he will die there. And there is nothing we can do. I HATE IT HERE!!!!!!

As someone with immigrant family members if you’re comfortable introducing yourself would really help them as well! I know knowing my neighbors are concerned for our safety would make me feel so much better ❤️

I’m a nurse and I have lots of regular patients that come in a couple days a week for their routine care. When one isn’t on their regular schedule we all freak out, and call them. They tell us they are scared to come to the hospital 😭

I live in Chicago. A contracted lawncare employee for my daughter’s ELEMENTARY school was kidnapped DURING SCHOOL HOURS. The kids had to be put in a lockdown FROM THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT. The conversations I have to have with my daughter are beyond comprehension. I told her she would be safe and she said “yeah, but others aren’t”. I cried so many tears that night. Because a young child gets it, through their innocence that they are ripping apart. Because she’s right. Because of all the families and individuals who now live in fear.

BUT YOU CANNOT INVITE THEM IN or you’ll be charged with obstructing and harboring. So please tell your neighbors you’re a safe house for them.
