If we gave up Greenland it would also signify that we never saw Greenland as a part of our nation. we have to listen to what Greenland want as well. It’s good to hear intelligent dialogue on this. They’re young & there’s a lot they’re missing, but still, I appreciate their opinion. Greenland deserves to have a say, as a territory of Denmark, they should expect to be defended by the kingdom. And since Denmark is part of NATO, they should expect article 5 to push back against any invaders… including the US. As any violation of the peace treaty by any member state should be dealt with as a whole. Even the threat of an invasion of a peaceful sovereign territory should be enough to start sanctions on the US.
