🦃🍗🪣 Deep Fried Turkey Bucket This was a fun idea that turned out pretty awesome 🔥 fried Turkey continues to always floor the family with how good it is 🤤 🤷🏻♂️ PREPARATION - Measure oil by placing the wrapped turkey in the frying pot with water to see the displacement. Mark the correct oil level. - Whole Turkey removed of any goodies - Run fingers under the skin to separate from the meat for better seasoning. - Season with salt inside the cavity, exterior, and under the skin. - Sssoned turkey in the fridge uncovered overnight to dry brine (enhances flavor, tenderizes meat, and dries the skin for crispiness). - Optional: Stuff a scored blooming onion into the cavity for added flavor. COOK - Preheat vegetable oil to 325–350°F to account for cooling when the turkey is added. - Turn off the burner before lowering the turkey to prevent oil overflow onto the flame. - Slowly lower the turkey into the hot oil, ensuring it’s fully submerged. - Fry at 300°F for 3 minutes per pound (e.g., a 12 lb turkey = ~36 minutes). - Remove when the internal temperature reaches ~155°F. - Place on a wire rack to drain excess oil and rest for 30 minutes in a warm, vented oven. This allows carryover cooking to finish the turkey and keeps the skin crispy. 🦃 Whole Turkey @Butterball Turkey . . . #Turkey #Thanksgiving #homecooking #Foodie #Foodies #DeepFried #crispy
