did not find out with both of my boys and don't regret it one bit. NOTHING compares to finding out from my husband what our babies were. plus, it makes people SOOOO mad and the petty part of me loved it 😈

I was just as surprised at an ultrasound appointment with my husband as I would be in the delivery room. The difference was, I was not exhausted and in pain. I think everyone should do whet is best for them.

Ever since losing my first baby and never knowing if it was a boy or girl, that is reason enough to never wait. I found out at 6 weeks with my daughter and don’t regret it for a second. Her room is also very pink and girly and I’m so glad we were able to fully prepare it before she was born. She’s 2.5 now and very girly and loves her room🩷

I get the blood test at 7-10 weeks. My sisters are both team green. We are not the same 😂

We’ve had 3 kids and never found out their genders! Best surprise ever!!! Would highly recommend it! It’s true, the older you are the fewer “good” surprises there are!

hey! so if you find out in the delivery room or at a gender reveal or on your computer screen or at an ultrasound office, it's still a surprise, unless you did gender selection it's a surprise, just came to clear that up!

We “accidentally” went team green on our first (baby would not cooperate during any ultrasound, etc. lol. She’s still just as stubborn) but now we’ll never do it any other way.

I did not find out the gender for any of my babies. I had two healthy beautiful baby boys. Then sadly we miscarried baby #3 at 12 weeks. And then soooo many people said to me things like: “oh are you going to try for a girl?” Um no. Idk how to “try” for a specific gender?!? 🤦🏼♀️But we did get pregnant for baby #4 and my husband and I both said we didn’t want to know the gender again. Gave birth to that beautiful baby and shockingly she was a girl! In that moment…after two boys, then a miscarriage…had I found out the gender on an ultrasound, I 100% guarantee the moment would not have been as beautiful and passionate as it was when my doctor said “It’s a girl” after I pushed her out. You can’t get that same feeling at your ultrasound or gender reveal party (which is weird, so I don’t want to open that can of worms). So yeah, I agree with all of your reasons!!! Don’t find out!!!

We found out with our first. Our second wouldn’t let the ultrasound see. Kept moving. She kept it a surprise for us. It was so cool to hear my husband say “it’s another girl” to hear it from HIM! Yeah....that was the best way to find out 🙃🥰✌

I had gender disappointment with my 3rd. Didn’t last long and I love home to death and he a momma boy but yes I was disappointed at 1st that he wasn’t a girl . I have wanted a girl my whole life and now have three amazing boys. And by way I would never ever tell him this

I figure it’s surprise whenever you find out. I’m old, so mine weren’t find out till birth. But I was so sick of all the yellow and green clothes we got.

Midwife here- and seeing the reactions on people’s faces when they know the gender opposed to a surprise. The surprise is just something different. We waited both times. Also it’s always semi hilarious when you think it’s one gender and it’s born and it’s the opposite! That one’s always amusing

I’m here for some answers talking primarily to C-section moms. I found out my daughters gender when I was pregnant and I’m glad I did now because I had a failed induction at almost 42 weeks and then an emergency c section that was quite traumatic. For my next baby I would love to wait to find out gender till birth but I do plan on having another c section as I can’t put my body through that again. So my question is how did c sections moms find waiting till birth as the surgery is quite intense

Thank you for this. We didn’t find out with our first and it was nice. We are currently trying for #2 and we thought about finding out. Now I know I don’t want to find out again.

I didn’t find out the gender of my baby and I don’t regret it at all. She ended up needing to be delivered early via emergency C-section and it was so special finding out her gender in such a scary moment
