So as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness so must the son of God be lifted up. In Moses time the Jews had to look up at the serpent on the staff to be healed in New testament men have to look up to Jesus on the cross to be saved.

ok so you are not fully correct and both are fully fair use for medicine. Hermes (pronounced with a hard H) was ultimately the messenger of the gods and his domain was the protector of all that used the roads. which was mostly those who had to travel town to town regularly. Yes, that includes thieves and merchants of course, but also messengers, bards, athletes, and DOCTORS too!! Hermes was considered a protector god and was often associated with medical care in the ancient world. Also, Aesclepius was not the god of healing. he was a real person who was a very good doctor and teacher and later became mythologized as the son of Apollo, who’s domain included medical care and medical science (like creating medical salves and innovation of stitches which the greeks are credited for). so basically, either is correct.

Hmmm, no. Not shedding of the skin and revitalization. I believe it is associated with the ancient treatment / removal of Dracunculus medinensis. The guinea worm was slowly extracted by tension and twisting it around a spike. Orrrrr at least that was the story I got way back in MS-2 😅
