Men are territorial- that’s different than protective. They protect their territory (their woman, job, possessions) but they don’t protect something that doesn’t serve them.

I don't have children but if hear a child scream "mom" I am on my way. I was not protected as a child and so I became the person I would have run to as a child. No hesitation 💙

A woman was screaming at a transit center. A man had her in a headlock. Me and another woman ran to her, I had my pepper spray out. He released her and fled the scene. We soothed her through that assault, she was very shaken up. I noticed men standing around doing nothing. A few blamed her for her assault. She didn't know that man. He was intoxicated and mistaken and still men wouldn't help her. Women have long been the protectors of women and children. Never think a man will protect you.

The term is mama bear for a reason. Fun fact most bull bears will go after sows with first years and will hunt them to force mom back into heat. 🐻

This whole process of remembering who we are and putting all the pieces together is really incredible.. When you think about it, they’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of years trying to rewrite the story, commandeering our identities, forcing us into believing we’re something far less than what we were ever meant to be… we’ve grown so far beyond them now, I can feel us rising 🌀
