@louisianahannah: A debate almost as big as roux and gumbo! Rice Dressing/Dirty Rice. What do you call it? I grew up calling it rice dressing but have also had it made for me before and it be called dirty rice. It doesn’t really matter to me it’s still good!!! Anyways, recipe below! ⬇️. Hope y’all enjoy! 😋 Ingredients: •1lb of ground pork •1lb of ground beef •1 can of mushroom steak sauce •1 can of cream of mushroom •A spoonful of beef bouillon •kitchen bouquet •1/2 onion •1 green bell pepper •2 stalks celery •6-8 cloves of garlic •Worcestershire •parsley •green onions •Cajun seasoning (I used Roux Dat Seasoning) •Smoked paprika •garlic powder •onion powder •salt •2 cups of rice •Savoies dressing mix ( I didn’t use this because the people I cooked for didn’t want it in there) Directions: 1. Put on stove a medium heat. 2. Add your ground meat and brown it down. 3. Take the ground meet out and set aside. 4. Add your veggies and brown them down. 5. Add your garlic. 6. Add your ground meat back to the pot. 7. Add your seasonings (Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt). 8. Add your savoies dressing mix (I did not do this step). 9. Add 1 can of mushroom steak sauce. 10. Add 1 can of cream of mushroom. 11. Add some water. 12. Add a spoonful of beef bouillon. 13. Add a little bit of kitchen bouquet. 14. Add hot sauce and Worcestershire & parsley. 15. Mix every thing up. 16. Let simmer for about 20 minutes. 17. Let your rice cooking on the side. 18.
