Some people have new hot water heaters that they flush regularly, like you are supposed to. And replaced the lead pipes. I ABSOLUTELY use already hot water when I'm boiling water and for ice cubes. Will never stop. Life is short, and wasting time when I don't need to, pass. 🥰

It not a hot water heater 😩 just a water heater. Now there are faucets that give you instant boiling water without running thru your house’s plumbing.

There should normally be no lead at all in the pipes running from your water heater to your faucet.

I put in a filter so it filters out legs specifically and I still use room temperature or cold water put it on my kennel. Let it sit for a minute and then I will put it on my stove.
