It's always been two 750ml bottles...it's probably now being enforced. that's why I always wrap 4 bottles in bubble wrap and put them in my suitcase (2 bottles in each suitcase), and buy the regular 2 in duty free

Actually this was always so. Additionally, 1.5 litres is actually 2 bottles that are 750ml in size which is regular sized bottles. He may have taken up the next size up which is 1 litre bottles aka mega size

Same thing happened to the couple in front of me last Tuesday. Why doesn’t duty free let them know before purchasing. Trinidad is not a real place!

2 bottles is incorrect ... 2 - 3 litres? 2 - 5 liters ? it is 1.5litres as stated on the declaration which equates to 2 - 750ml bottles. This is not new!!! People dont read.

You are correct but if I'm not wrong the 1.5L allowance is a yearly allowance and not a per trip allowance. Not sure how they checking what u bought on ur previous trips

It is NOT NOW. This has always.been the allowance. You could bring 2- 750ml bottles. A couple can bring 3- 1L bottles. It is written on the landing forms Ask your cousin if he didn't read the form that he filled and signed

Yeah so this is not a new thing. It was always 1.5L personal allowance per calendar year. Trinis believed they were allowed “2 bottles” because in the past you used to get mostly 750ml bottles in duty free.
