See recipe below. #rootsinrice #asianamerican #baking #glutenfree #chinese Ingredients: - 1/4 cup of rice - 1 cup of black sesame - 2 cups of water - 1 qt of water - 1/2 to 1 stick of chinese brown sugar (pending on desired sweetness level) Instructions: 1. Soak rice in water for 4 hours in room temp or overnight in refrigerator. 2. Stir fry black sesame till it becomes fragrant (approx 2 to 3 minutes). Then rinse with water & strain. Set aside. 3. Strain rice and discard water. 4. With a blender, puree both rice and black sesame till smooth. Set aside. 5. On medium heat, boil 1 qt of water & then add Chinese brown sugar. Stir till sugar completely dissolves. 6. Add black sesame & rice puree. Stir consistently till it boils, bubbles form on surface. 7. Remove from heat. Enjoy!
