Rich is right! Mostly 3.5L and 2.7L 2015 2016 f-150s t-body create some weird Ghost concerns. Like he said Though Ford-Motorcraft replacement part is the 🔑

I had the exact same issue on my 15 5.0 it went into limp mode at a drive thru. Saw a video on YouTube about it and replaced it with a bbk throttle body and never had the issue again. Only drama that truck ever gave me.

Had one with the same ghost. 2018 f150. Changed the throttle body and it fixed it. Few months later transmission failed. So combo. 🤪

2 days ago buddy took his 20 f150 with 5.0 to dealer for a surge and pop noise back through the air cleaner. Pulled into to the lot, shut it off, wouldn’t restart. Throttle body was bad. Dealer charged 350 for part and 850 labor. $1200 out the door.

Before I retired from Toyota, we had a similar condition in our drive by wire Siennas, our T-body fuse blows for what reason, which knows no tsb, no tech tip, no recall. Before that our MR2 Spyders with sequential shift, we had that problem. Had that car for a week in my stall with wires going everywhere. It's not like we can swap parts, those cars were rare and yes it was our T-body ✌

same thing happened in the past I had a 2010 Escape apparently there was a recall on that throttle body. this was 10 or 11 years ago though
