@mottsworld: ☀️Some mornings with HS can definitely be a lot, and today was one of those mornings.😓 This flare in my armpit has been slowly developing and has reached that point where I can feel it constantly. It’s in a spot on my arm where I can’t fully extend it, and my chest pulls on it, creating this nonstop tension. It’s a little painful, and the discomfort is there. I’m on my way to work now, and I have two three-hour meetings, and I’m dreading them a little bit.🫣 Even though my day started off with this flare and being in discomfort, I’m still giving myself a moment to reset and meet myself where I’m at. ✊🏾I’m proud of myself for pausing and reminding myself that I know my body, and I trust myself when it comes to handling flares. I don’t need to rush or push past my limits, and I don’t need the whole day figured out right now. And if you’re currently experiencing an HS flare-up, or navigating something heavy in your life, I really want you to know that I see you, I understand, and you are heard. 🤍🫶🏾 Life really be lifing, and finding a quiet moment isn’t always easy. I woke up pissed and frustrated today, but I really had to sit down and give myself the space to express it, and then intentionally shift my mindset. If you can, take a minute🕘 to sit with your emotions, let yourself feel them, and then gently redirect your mind toward how you’re going to manage and move through what you’re dealing with. Taking it one hour at a time, listening to your body, and choosing grace over pressure is enough, and that effort deserves to be acknowledged. You got this.
