As someone with wavy, fine textured, lots of hair strands, I tried La Bonne Brosse no.1 & no.2 and found that no.1 actually gripped my hair better and went through the strands better. I was surprised, as I expected the one with Nylon to grip better because it could get through more hair with the longer bristles. No.1 also left my hair looking a little fuller, and I think the differing lengths and shape of the bristles worked better on my hair than my 100% boar Mason Pearson, so perhaps it might be worth it to see if you can test out the No.1 model?

They seem like fabulous brushes and I had brushes. I swore by until… I got sucked in to that “unbrush” when my kid got me one for Christmas two years ago. Have you tried those?
