You need to remember that in the US you are not a patient you are a customer. They can’t have you around because that is not good billing. Like a restaurant that needs to turn tables. In every other civilized country the priority is the patient while here it’s the shareholders and corporate profits.

After living abroad for 5 years in three countries, people don’t know how bad it is in the US. It’s only good if you have a LOT of money. Couldn’t be happier to be in Singapore. Also gonna retire in Malaysia.

No US doctor can make me ever hate medical tourism. I was sold on it during a vacation in the Dominican Republic. Pharmacies there do not require prescriptions and are unbelievably cheap. Brought back inhalers for my adult son's asthma for an entire year including prednisone and a breathing machine.

I wear glasses. Can’t see without them. Went to US ophthalmologist twice and got glasses made - 800 bucks total. Prescription was wrong. Went to South America- saw ophthalmologist, he used state of the art technology to get the correct prescription- w/ flight and stay - 600 bucks. Haven’t had eyesight issues since
