@parkplaceabode: This 10 ft long walnut plywood is the countertop of my next project - office built-ins with speakeasy vibes! We wanted a chunky look for the top without the chunky price tag that comes with using solid walnut. So I mitered the edge of the top walnut plywood piece as well as the grain matched front piece (that’s about 2” wide) in order to do a miter fold glue up. I edge banded the bottom edge to cover the raw plywood edge. After sanding it all smooth, I used 3 coats total of @GeneralFinishes water-based polyurethane in Satin to protect it and sanded lightly between coats. The finish is absolute perfection.
