@sue.barries: This is how everything I have today was built. I changed by finally being realistic about what I could actually sustain. When I went to rehab, I learned something that rewired everything for me: Drugs weren't the problem - they were the symptom. The real issue was my inability to sit with my emotions, understand them, and regulate them. So I started small. Almost laughably small. Instead of trying to fix my entire life, I focused on growing 1% in four areas: * physical * emotional * intellectual * spiritual That's it. Not perfection. Not intensity. Consistency. 1% looked like: - questioning one emotional reaction instead of obeying it - learning why I felt the way I felt instead of judging it - choosing movement, presence, or curiosity for just a moment longer - tending to my inner world the same way I wanted my outer life to look. That's when confidence came back. That's when sobriety stuck. That's when my body changed. That's when my relationships: especially my marriage became became possible. I call it The 4% Rule because life doesn't transform in giant breakthroughs. It shifts quietly, through small daily choices that compound. You don't need to give 100%.. And you're not broken if that feels overwhelming. You just need 1% in all four areas - every day.
