@jeeves_ny: Here are some tips from a dry cleaner on laundry detergent dosing: 1 - Start with 2 tablespoons of liquid or powdered detergent or 1 pod for normal sized loads with the usual staining 2 - For large and or dirty loads use 3 or 4 tbsps or 2 pods 3 - For small and or not dirty loads use 1 tbsp Every load is different, it's important to think about size and the amount of staining present to dose accordingly. The good news is you can use suds as feedback. You want to see some suds. Too many suds means the detergent is bored and has nothing to do.
