You’re right it’s an issue of so many transplants. I’m from Charlotte but it doesn’t feel the same. I think everyone feels new and maybe anxious about being in a new place. I might be biased but when the art scene throws parties I feel like it’s more welcoming

it’s definitely the transplants sis because Im from NJ/NY when I moved down here in like 2005 when I was 16 I was mean mugging everything moving like why all these random people keep smiling at me. Everybody was so friendly I used to be looking like they cant me smiling at me because I dont know them. Needless to say the city is way different now the amount of people who have moved here has grown crazy numbers so its much different. Idk who told the world charlotte was the place to be but somehow here we are lol.
