It doesn't help that most of our news centers around conflict, most of our other media is centered around scammers. We do get some good stuff IF our algorithms are right. Thankfully I get a lot of good stuff now, but like India, a lot of bad falls through. Don't get me wrong, I know 99.9% of the bad in Africa is directly caused from colonizers; I'm just sharing what I've seen.

You’d think in a country with 50 states could understand the concept of having lots of different cultures and ranges of societies in a place that’s as big as Africa. Like we have all kinds of poor states but people don’t say America is a poor country.

I’m aware now how twisted our teaching of Africa were but my freshman year in college I met this guy from South Africa, light skinned, really buff, nerdy and polite guy, and I was still kinda thrown and I’m kinda embarrassed to admit that. Our school system sucks man 😂😅

It doesn't help that the only time I ever see anything about Africa it's usually dirt roads and lack of water and no power and war torn nations and all that jazz. US media very purposely paints a negative picture of Africa only ever showing the worst of the worst.
