literally, like one guy had his loin cloth held on by piercings. PIERCINGS. the way they make physical pain such a central notion to their existence is fascinating and I need to know more. I saw a really cool video explaining how different Varang is in comparison to her people, how she seems more vain and it was incredible

nobody talks about how originally in the concept art the mangkwans wore scary looking headdresses and varang wore the severed que of her enemies as trophies. Its also implied in an interview that they sever their own que ritualistically and ride night wraiths whitout making the bond. That would have been way cooler than what we got
