@heytheretatay: It took less than one month of visits to a quality primary care physician and then a rheumatologist to arrive at an autoimmune diagnosis. I do consider that pretty dang lucky #behcetsdisease
my OBGYN caught it - was diagnosed the second I went to the rheumatologist. all because she recognized it from studying it in med school!

Hi! Ive been to I've been sickly for years. Sickness recently got worse. Went to two different top hospital Dermatology- Mount sinai and NYU for lesions; one told me pretty much not to worry about it and the other said it was bug bites. Went to my new awesome PCP who took one good look at my fingers/hands lesions and said its looks Vascular related. My new Dermatologist wants me to talk to my rheumatologist about possible behcet's disease diagnosis and labs, especially since I have all the symptoms.

So glad you were able to get answers! Autoimmune diseases are so hard to diagnose. I think I was only take seriously because I have a strong history of auto immune disease in my family. Currently diagnosed with UCTD with symptoms of both RA and lupus.

Would you mind sharing which rheum you went to? I’m looking at potentially switching and would love to have a great reference in Austin!

That's so fortunate and I wish it was always like that. I spent 8 years being passed around from doctor to doctor before I got my behcets diagnosis.
