I live in the formen Soviet country, my family lived through it and they are saying exactly same things as you did😭 My grandma was one who went on the protests against ussr but she tells me "I thought this new system would be better but everything is worse now, It is not as good as it was in the soviet union". I talk to her about ussr for hours and it is really helpful.

We have neighbors who used to live in the USSR and moved to the US. They hated living in the USSR but they also hate living here and all the side effects of capitalism so I think maybe they are just hard to please.

Romanian here 🇷🇴 my grandma said pretty much the same stuff you talked about in the video. She told me that wages were distributed fairly, no one made much more than the others even if they were superiors. There was an emphasis on education and that everyone had jobs. It’s always refreshing hearing her talk about communism as someone who actually lived in a communist country and can give a truthful and firsthand view on those times without all the western propaganda.

what's great about having references like the ussr and other so called communist countries is we don't have to do that exactly the same if we adapt that here. we can innovate and make a better place.

my whole polish family who lived in the eastern block say that times were better under communism, sure they did also say capitalism was okay but they all generally preferred the communist rule before it started collapsing 😭
