like it sucks they're cousins, but it's not like this was an arranged marriage within the family. if they love each other that much, then I don't see a problem. they can always adopt kids

Honestly, they fell in love as strangers, with no idea they were related, they've already built up that bond and I can understand how that would be a really hard decision when you were already planning your life together. I think in this specific situation it would be okay for them to stay together, as long as they do not have any biological children. Would I be able to be with someone I now know is my sibling? I dont think so, but I can see how they might choose to stay together, again, in this specific situation lol

Two things of note: While I understand they believe they are in love, and it feels very real, I also feel like we have to take that with a grain of salt. If you've NEVER experienced something else, you can't really know what love is imo. I thought I loved many people who I was immensely attracted too when I was young as well. Secondly, being first cousins is genuinely a problem long term. If it was 2nd or 3rd cousins, I could let it slide but I don't know how you would get past 1st cousins. It would genuinely creep me out every time we kiss. My recommendation would be to stay in eachothers lives, continue that friendship and sense of community you have built. But end things romantically and just be open and real with your friends and family. They'll support you even more for it. I personally love my cousins, but I don't want to build a life with them. Like, is it unreasonable to think the reason they clicked right away is literally because their biological make up is very similar?
