I had epidural, my catheter came out before I pushed out baby also I got up soon as I pushed him and placenta out… I didn’t have to wait no hour

The catheter is usually taken out before pushing to avoid urethral trauma actually. They can be put back in after birth in some cases, like for postpartum hemorrhage or pre-eclampsia, but almost no one is finishing their recovery period with a catheter still in.

What is this new fad with waking a sleeping baby! Never wake a sleeping bag unless they’re preme or are told to by your doctor due to very low weight. Healthy babies will wake when hungry.

as a student birth worker he knows EVERYTHING, he can tell you our birth plan, what to say no to, what interventions we will say yes too if needed, etc from memory.

You can also get a catheter during natural birth, the midwives were encouraging me to empty my bladder before pushing, I wasn’t able too and ended up needing to use a catheter. Was only relying on gas and it sucked🤣😩
