The book gives Alex SO MUCH more depth! I felt like movie Alex was just there as a figment of Poppy’s memory and fantasy. You get glimpses of his yearning in the NOLA scene in the movie, but the book yearning is really unmatched

Read the book. The way Emily Henry writes how Poppy and Alex yearn and the course of their friendship is so well done. Destinations not included in the movie are San Francisco, Nashville, Sonoma, and Sanibel Island. You also get snippets of them in college together sophomore year.

a lot of people couldn’t get into the book for valid reasons, but i think it’d be a lot easier to get into it after having seen the movie. it gives poppy and alex so much more depth and much more of a personal journey

Read the book after the movie and I loved the movie but I’m glad I read it after because the book is sm better. They’re 2 completely different stories but the movie was so fun

There were a couple scenes and dialogue that should have been kept to show their true relationship but I didn’t mind the movie that much

I loved the movie more than the book. Poppy was perfect and I connected better. But I do think the book allows more depth but they’re totally different mediums with pros and cons for each!

I am gonna start the book for the second time. It was one of the books that made me fall in love with this author. Definitely think it should be read!

I read the book and then watched the movie. I enjoyed both! But did like the book more since nothing was left out. ❤

Book is one of my all time favorites and was so good that I hate the movie. Highly recommend a read.

The book had a lot more detail, but the movie was adorable. With adaptations, you just go in knowing they can’t put every detail of the book in the movie. It would be 8 hours long.
