all gingers are redheads, not all redheads are gingers. ginger is a specific “bright flame” type of red, but there’s also auburn hair, strawberry blonde hair, copper hair, etc. someone who’s hair leans browner and more true red is a redhead, as opposed to a ginger who leans more towards orange and blonde. in reality the terms are highly interchangeable but if you ask a hairstylist or look up hues of red that will explain the differences, also i am a natural redhead as well lol

All squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares. If you are a ginger, you are a redhead (and sometimes can turn blonde but the body hair remains). Anyone can dye their hair and be a redhead though.

If you look up read head you’ll get a mix of ginger hair and like actual red colored hair, if you look up ginger you’ll get the orangey reds and strawberry blonde shades. As a ginger, I never say I’m a red head anymore bc I’ve had people say “so it’s fake” as if I want orange roots attached to my dark brown hair lol
