Retired teacher here, you are absolutely right. My students would get excited for writing when I gave them colored gel pens to edit their writing and Mr. Sketch scented markers to practice multiplication and division.

I love your idea to use gel pens! Instead of gel pens, I ended up buying colorful expo markers, since I need them for my first grade groups. Colorful markers are so much pretty than just black. Thank you!

These are adorable! Sometimes tho the ink disappears on paper from heat / naturally over time! May wanna be careful using them on important things 🤣 I learned this from a friend who I wrote a letter to with them, when she opened it, it was blank 💀
