my parents met the warrens because of a "problem" with an apt they lived in, and their reverend is who got the warrens for them, I was born in 76 so this was maybe in 1969 or 1970 they did a lot of work that was not publicized, and the warrens came back to visit my parents in the 80s and I remember meeting them

Ed and Lorraine are sketchy. That being said, if what they did brought some peace to the family, good for them. I have lived in a haunted house, and it's no picnic. Anything that helps is a thumbs up in my book.

Did you see the made for tv movie with Sally Kirkland? I watched that one and tried to compare it to the conjuring movie. I hear the book is way better than both movies.

This is totally off the subject, but I swear every family in the 80’s all looked the same. I know my brothers had girlfriends with hair that high. My parents had those glasses. They just need that orange couch with the bridge or whatever on it.

I read the book and have seen interviews of the grown children and I believe it is a true story , great book . I believe the Warren's they always tried to help people .

What amazes me in these stories is that people have serious haunting for years and their first thought isn't to call a priest to do exorcism. It took three times in this case and could've been done a lot sooner!

ed and lorrain allowed their practice to be sensationalized because one it would make people who needed help seek them out and two they needed money to continue to help people, there was no social media in their time, their help depended largely on word of mouth and the social grapevine, the stories most of the public doesn't know about are their true successes, they were very caring people who truly believed they were helping people, and the testimonies of those people who got help from them are nothing but good, but no one in the extremely large group of families they helped wanted to be known, the ones that did get deals and stuff was the families agreeing first and the warrens second
