My bed is on the completely dark dome as long as it's pitch black there should be no algae because algae needs photosynthesis to actually grow otherwise no light no algae also bubbles do help to disperse algae It takes longer for it to form. unfortunately I do think the copper will kill the plants with the other chemical that you put in there, and also water beads can suffocate roots so consider using rockwool to hold the plant and water beads around the plant in a netted pot that should do the trick
