I’d think a week is good and can’t you make a smaller loaf?

your bread does have chemicals in it? baking is all about chemical reactions.

How does your homemade bread last long enough to mold?

Typically that’s on average the lifespan of homemade bread it normally does last about a week give or take a lot of of it has to do with how it is being stored. I noticed that if I put it in like Ziploc bags, it would last like maybe five days but I have an old serial container and I started slicing it up and put it in that and it will actually last a little bit more than a full week. You know it might last about 10 days if not a little bit longer, it just depends on the way it stored and kind of the humidity of your house or at least that’s my experience. I’ve noticed that within the cold cooler months it seems to last a little bit longer as to where it doesn’t quite last quite that long during the warmer months although I live in Texas, so it gets really hot and our home does not have like hardly any insulation and so it gets extremely hot and very humidity inside so it doesn’t quite last as long, but my kids love my bread so we still pretty much get to eat all of it before it goes bad there might be like maybe four pieces left that get a little bit of mold on it.

Use honey, butter or add vinegar, that’ll help extend the shelf life of your bread

Or if you guys wanna preserve it longer just put it in the refrigerator. It sounds weird but it’s not that bad

freeze it!
I freeze my bread & just pop it in my air fryer when I'm ready.

I find it shocking how for example bread in the USA doesn’t mold, here in Iceland store bought bread starts molding in a week after opening, we put bread in the freezer for longer lasting

I slice half my loaf and freeze it and then we eat the other fresh half for the week. The frozen bread tastes as fresh as bake day when I defrost it

Week sounds like a long time for bread. I cut it up and make croutons after like 4 days maximum. Bread isn’t supposed to stay fresh for weeks

Store bought bread will not mold these days unless it's really old. I had a loaf that was 3 weeks old and still no mold.
