Good luck finding a venue who will allow you have a dry wedding. There would be a minimum spend dictated by the venue to cover the “loss” of bar revenues.

I think you should definitely be telling people if you doing a dry wedding, or anything thats not normally assumed, like food etc. This allows people to make decisions on what to do, for a dry wedding they don't need to stay as they can drive home after, as opposed to a "standard" wedding where they'd spend hundreds on accommodation

I debated having one cuz my family were big drinkers but I kept the booze and deeply regret it I definitely should have had like a 5 drink limit and no shots it was messy

also there's s charge from your venue for loss of revenue. So st my menu of you wanted no bar on the day it was £1000 to close it!
