Charles has always had a savior complex but he genuinely does care for his students. He puts himself on a pedestal and others hold him to it but at the end of the day he's just a man who occasionally makes poor decisions.

“Charles the villain for once” that may be true but Jean’s childhood trauma (especially losing control of her powers at a young age) made her abilities wildly unstable. Xavier believed that if she remembered and processed that pain too early, she could lose control and hurt herself or others.

a genuine question here. how would you help an omega or above level mutant who has trauma without intervention again I'm not saying charles was right or wrong I'm asking cause mutants especially telepathers need to control their powers so much earlier look at jean and David aka legion .
