wanting to have some basic rules of behavior/ interactions with strangers in common spaces could also just be common sense or wisdom if you will. Just like it seems monogamy objectively makes society work better and is not just some random arbitrary invention of the Patriarchy or something

Out of all of the philosophers, the least forced, yet the most true, seemed to be Diogenes. Much like that one Linkin Park song, he probably realized that one can try so hard, and get so far, but in the end, it doesn't even matter; so why bother prostrating yourself before society, when you can instead live the simplest of lives and be free. That being said, our souls are bound by flesh, and we are subject to various biological imperatives which simply won't allow us to fully let go of everything; perhaps the optimal state to achieve would be not to overthink things and autopilot through life as much as possible.
