My loans are paid off. I have a good job. I’m burned out bc I’ve been working full time since I was 17 and I’m 43 now.

Our parents were burned out too, but they stuck with it because it supported their family. Our jobs no longer allow us to buy a house and two cars and an annual vacation and support a wife and kids.

The bigger problem is that you HAVE TO work to make money. To live. Take that requirement out and mankind would accomplish wonderful things. The absolute greed is ruining everyone's life. This world is so corrupt...

I graduated college in 2007, and been paying over $500/mo for almost 20yrs. Still have $20k to go. Bc it keeps compounding and the interest keeps going up. Never had enough money to live off of to work at an unpaid internship to be able to use my degree.

I went into healthcare. For no help with my loans… even serving frontline during the pandemic. And I hate nursing now. Hate it. Oh and it’s not so recession proof anymore.

it's low pay, too. real wages have fallen since the late 1950s. people just exist without moving forward now. who would like to live in that situation?

public school is not just a funnel to student loan debt... it's also a a place to indoctrinate and train your future labor force while your current labor force is busy being exploited to make you a ton of money

well, this, and bc there's no parachute at the end like there used to be. retirements and medical have all become a thing we have to side invest in, there's no coverage, you just have to work till you die.
