I know these videos are supposed to be empowering to women and I agree to some extent but same logic could apply to a man paying bills. You don’t thank him every single month for paying the bills, he just does it and it is expected of him to. That’s just how out society works.

Yes, because my partner has always respected me. When I clean the house every week I get a “the house looks great, thank you.” When I make dinner each night “dinner was wonderful thank you” and he does the dishes, and I go “thank you for doing the dishes.” When the trash is taken out “thank you for taking the trash out.” We are a team, it’s not him vs me in what we do. It’s him and I vs whatever the issue is.

my husband and I practice gratitude regularly. it's weird to thank your waitress for bringing your drinks when that's literally her job but not thank your husband when he helps with housework. being kind and grateful to the person you love should be normalized.

It’s apart of expectation even when you have a full time job. It’s not ok. So in my mind it’s absolutely acceptable for woman to be overstimulated, overwhelmed and unhinged.

Actually, the man I married is constantly telling me thank you and shows his appreciation. He also does housework when it needs to be done. I have no list. I never have to ask. We just do the work as it’s presented to us. I woke up this morning and he scrubbed the toilets last night. I have a partner in life and an amazing man to help me navigate through it! ♥️

Jesus, where did all of you women find your husbands?!? I barely get appreciation for anything I do. I’m the breadwinner, work full time hours, manage our whole house, the yard, the errands, both the kids schedules…..he works 40 hours. I get approximately the bare minimum……

Every time he does something he lists it off to me like he’s bragging about the things he did. I have responded by informing him that if I took the time to list everything that I did, I would no longer have the time to get everything done because it would take half my day just to tell him about it all. I also get the “if you need me to help with something just tell me what I need to do” no sir!! I will not tell you how to be an adult and take care of the things that need to be done. Just look around and if you see something that needs to be taken care of do it. You’re not “helping me” you live here too and should be contributing to the household responsibilities. Especially since I work more than he does!! It’s soooo infuriating!!
