LPCC-S in Ohio here !! Opened my solo private practice October 2023 & it was the best decision of my life, truly!!!! I see ~26 clients a week & take off about 5 weeks a year (this is also factoring in days off for holidays) & still hit 6 figures, gross of course. I’m mostly insurance-based. Grad school should talk about private practice more so people aren’t stuck in community MH (if they don’t want to be - no shade, as we need both)!! Salary transparency is so needed in this field.

This post came across my fyp. I’m working a job where thats literally my before taxes pay. I just started my own private practice in hopes to be able stay home with my son. I’ve been very discouraged lately because the clients aren’t exactly pouring in and I’ve been trying everything. Your video gave me some hope❤️
