all I'm going to say is same! you just explained my life,it took me going through liver&kidney failure&a heart attack to stop. I live a very simple life,much like yours. I'm a big fan of yours&I just relate to you,I like what you like etc. I clean like you clean etc,I don't keep a big group around me because it seems like everyone drinks&I don't want to be around it period. I've never been happier than I am right now. Don't EVER apologize,you owned your shit! plain&simple,be proud of that,anybody that has something negative to say,doesn't get it. I'm so sorry for your loss,thanks for being so vulnerable and transparent,I see you,you're a truly good person,I hope you believe that!

Girl it’s okay to talk a little it and let it all out! As someone who is like that and watched family become alcoholics and dying from it, I am now 2 1/2 years from my last drink! You can do it girl, I’m proud of you🩷🩷🩷

Love this and your vulnerability. It’s such a struggle because alcohol is such a “socially acceptable” thing that people have a hard time understanding someone’s choice to not drink if they don’t see a DUI or an “event” that makes them understand why you’d want to stop drinking as a personal choice. And they make it weird instead of just respecting it as a personal choice. You’re strong to share your story with the outside world. No shame at all, you owe no one any explanation for your choice for you. Proud of you for picking yourself and what’s best for you. We have been on a “sober without a problem” journey for the last couple years off and on as well. Just not a helpful thing for our relationship or how it makes us feel. You got this girl. 💖

Ty for sharing! So many of us can relate to a degree! I am at my 5 year mark in recovery from opiates and any addiction is tough, no matter the amount. Huge step is RECOGNIZING it and being accountable! In case you haven’t heard it lately, IM PROUD OF YOU 👏

I spent my teens to early 20s blacking out everytime I drank, I have maybe only drank 5 times in the last 4 years & everyone still is shocked when I decline drinking hahaha, they just don’t get bc I was such a big drinker in my younger years but I absolutely hate the way It makes me feel and also I just don’t want my kids growing up the way I grew up seeing that regularly.

Thank you for being vulnerable! Every single time I drink I regret it. But the “social norm” is drinking. It’s so hard to let it go even though I enjoy nothing about it.
