The idea that we take in their somatic pleasure or positive feelings, not just the negative emotions is eye opening for me. I’ve been working on not managing or taking on my ex’s anger or resentment but I can see so clearly now that when we were together his desire was my desire, his pleasure was my pleasure. Even my fantasies were about male centered pleasure. The somatic hijacking is so thorough i’m not sure at this point what I even desire when I center myself
