Tithing is not for the New Testament church. The tithe was a tax in the theocratical government of Isreal. We give offerings but first take care of our household. We also offer to the poor first and orphans and widows not filthy preachers. But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5 : 8
