I am Hispanic. We moved to Colorado and live in a predominantly white area. All my son’s friends do the most part, are white. We invited one of his friends out to the zoo and bought the ticket, (we invited!) bought snacks, went to lunch, and movies later that day. Paid for everything. A few weeks later my son went out to Walmart with them and their parents. He wanted an energy drink? I got a Venmo request for it and my son had told me to make sure I paid it cause his friends mom kept nagging him. I was beyond upset cause I don’t expect them to pay me back for a thing. Knowing however that we did treat their child, how dare you Venmo me for a 3.95 energy drink. I sent them 20 and he is not to take a thing from them, or but a thing for them. Sorry!
