I was also nervous about what our second would do to our relationship and it ended up bringing us 100x closer. I think between just really establishing what a good team means in parenthood and being able to bring that into this experience vs with our first we were learning all of that. We just simply knew what eachother needed. I have a 5 year age gap and it’s been wonderful! ❤️

I have an 8yr old girl and my son is 7 months now. I was scared of the age gap and that she was my whole world, and how that would impact us. But the age gap helped - she’s so hands on. I had PPD first time, this time I think I was anticipating it but when he came the nerves settled and it was just different 🩷 I’m still struggling with my body this pregnancy, I didn’t bounce back.. but honestly my mental health has been better in general. I have such an overwhelming amount of happiness so it’s worth it 🥹 the body can wait lol

G is going to school- you will be so busy with that and the baby. My girls are 4 years apart and honestly it’s the sweetest to see your 4 year old help you. You get 1:1 time when G is at school with the newborn and then after school you transition your time “more” to G. It will all fall into place ✨

Such VALID feelings!! Our daughters are similar in age (I think lol) I have to say when I had my son last year the age gap (3.5yrs at the time) was absolutely perfect and I was worried for that. Worried about dividing time but she has been the biggest help and was and is so excited to be a big sister🤗🥹

I was SO nervous about the baby waking up my older daughter because their rooms are right next to each other and it's literally happened once! my 4 year old was just more annoyed rather than upset or ready to be up for the day. you'll find your groove, 2 kids is so precious!!

These are all so so so normal! You never know how things will change. You kind of just have to buckle up and get ready for the ride 😂. I hope it is such a good experience for you. I was nervous having a second for many similar reasons and it was the BEST i would live the year over and over again.

It is such an adjustment, but then one day you’ll look at your new baby and not be able to imagine your life/family without them! For sleep I’d suggest splitting nights for the first few weeks, hub does like 8-12 and then mom does the rest. I just had my 3rd and this saved my sanity

When did winter creep into town? In Sighișoara, it feels less like a season and more like a quiet occupation. Snow arrives the way rumors once did, slowly and without permission, softening the angles of a hilltop citadel that has watched centuries bruise and pass. Roofs sag under white weight, chimneys exhale woodsmoke, and the town folds inward, defensive, private, as if the stones still remember why they learned to stand so close together. This place was never built to charm. Founded by Transylvanian Saxons in the 12th century, Sighișoara was designed to endure pressure, hunger, and threat. Nine defensive towers once ringed the citadel, each maintained by a different craft guild, turning labor into survival strategy. The Clock Tower, rising since the 1300s, served as gate, prison, armory, and timekeeper, its mechanism still counting days with monastic discipline. Vlad Țepeș was born here in 1431, long before legend distorted him into theater. Winter strips that mythology back to something colder and more honest: power, fear, borders, and endurance shaped by climate. When snow deadens sound and footsteps echo like private confessions, the town begins to press questions into you. Can you sense how many winters this place absorbed to remain standing? Does comfort dull your reading of history, or does hardship sharpen it? Are you visiting a town, or being quietly measured by it?
