So you are good, and they both work differently. Tylenol(Acetaminophen) works great for headache, pain, and fever; it is broken down/affects the liver(don't drink a lot and then take Tylenol, liver can only breakdown so much so fast, so it can stay in system longer and get to a more toxic level). Advil(Ibuprofen) great for inflammation and joint/muscle pain, it is excreted by the kidneys, so be careful if you have kidney disease. Also can cause stomach ulcers if you take too much.
