The math is quite simple; men know misogyny is bad, but they perceive themselves to be deterministically not-bad. Any challenge to that is experienced as a violence, a threat to their very reality, their very sense of self. It’s an immensely complex problem, addressing ‘ideology’.

People don’t seem to understand that misogyny is so deeply engrained in society and the whole system. It’s in every tight nook and cranny of society which is why they just don’t see it. That’s how deep it goes. To see and understand how deep misogyny goes, you technically have to completely unravel society and all that we know and see it for what things truly are. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people are not aware or smart enough to do that. (My university thesis was on this exact subject).
