Trader Joe’s is a great place to shop dye free if there’s one in your area. They only use naturally derived color so for example red candy would be colored with beets or maybe paprika.

we are a completely dye free household but very strict on red40.

My son isn’t allowed to have Red 40 or Blue 1 due to an allergy. It is an absolute nightmare to find snacks and drinks without dyes in them. To be honest, I just cut out most candy and juices. My son really likes water anyway so it just worked out but you really have to watch because things you wouldn’t expect can still have it in them
