it took me 3 tries in FLORIDA to get my license and I have a sparkly clean driving record 21 years later. I am so afraid of getting in trouble I refuse to do anything wrong 🫣

I drive rideshare and I have a relatively clean driving record to be clear but I failed my learners permit 13 times let it expire. Failed another 12 times took my driving exam once and did so poorly that there’s no doubt they were going to fail me but they were so sick of seeing me that they passed me. I obviously do not tell the story to my passengers.

I likewise took quite a journey to get my license as an unaware autistic adult. I have crashed very few cars in the many years since. Not none but not a LOT.

I did a cali roll through a stop sign (<3s stop apparently) which is an automatic fail cuz like stopping is important but the lady was cool, educated me then said “everyone does it and you were safe so” I passed 🤭
