A leader who needs everyone to like them may avoid that decision until it is too late. Kevin’s idea of separating people into noise or signal is really about protecting your focus. Signal helps you make better decisions. Noise pulls your attention toward opinions, criticism, and approval that do not serve the mission. As an entrepreneur, your job is not to make everybody happy.
