@an_ordinary_mum_in_debt: To some people, these might seem the most stupid things. But to someone who spent all her adult life having no clue how to manage her money, these were all standard way of life. I have spent the last year working hard to change these habits, and to undo the damage they have done. It’s a lot to un learn after so long. It’s been a learning curve and still a long way to go. But I know I’m not alone, and I am confident some will be giving these a nod as they read. Can you add any more?
I’m starting to do sinking funds etc. I’ve realised it will take time to build up as not much disposable. It’s took me a good few months to even get to know what I actually spend on things like groceries/petrol etc

Jenny’s Budget :
So true and such good advice. Never heard of sinking funds until last year at 44yrs old! I’m now on it and it’s going to change everything for Christmas, birthdays, holidays from panic to breathe easy! 🥰
