My cousin got married on my birthday and I didn’t expect her to do anything. Then out of the blue, a group of people plus my cousin who got married, came over and they started singing me happy birthday and she gave me me a cupcake. I was shocked I had no idea they would do that. I love her so much 💖

My matron of honor has barely spoken to me since our combined Bach in OCTOBER (over 4 months now) over someone else’s behavior. I’ve only heard from her for her to cancel long standing plans and insist things are fine when I’ve asked to talk because I can tell things are not fine. We ended up cancelling the wedding a month and a half out because we already eloped and had bigger priorities and didn’t know how to continue planning when half of our wedding party wasn’t speaking to us, again for something that we didn’t do??

My sister backed out of being a bridesmaid 2 weeks before my wedding even though she was fully aware of the date a year and a half in advance. She claimed that she just found out it was homecoming that weekend at her kids high school freshman year. Still hasn’t apologized or acknowledged the stress that caused that close to the wedding. Luckily my husbands brother agreed to be a flower man and threw out fruit snacks. Turned out to be pretty great.

My husband and I were married in San Diego. The majority of our family and friends were flying in from the East Coast. We had our wedding reception at Petco Park in two of the rooms in the western metal supply building. It was during a padre dodger baseball game. I could only have 45 people in the room so my guest list was very small. I have a core group of six friends from college, three of whom brought their spouses the other three were coming stag. One of those girls asked if she could bring her friend along? I immediately said no because I don’t know this friend, I could only have 45 people and she was going to be there with our friend group so why did she need to bring another person?She was furious.

My sister brought my 5 yo son up in front of everyone to sing happy birthday to him and even had a small cake just for him since their wedding was ON his birthday. It was a total shock to all of us… we had told our son we’d celebrate the next day because aunties wedding a one time thing. We still celebrated on Sunday too

When I got married (the first time), we carefully chose our date, and booked the church, the venue, set up appointments for hair and makeup, all the things. I sent out the invitations and very quickly got a phone call from friends of the groom’s. They wanted us to change the date because they would be out of the country. I told them to have a great time, but we would not be changing the date, just to accommodate them, especially since we had other people who had already made their travel arrangements to come to the wedding. Currently planning my second marriage, wish me luck!
